When i play .avi files thru media player all i get is audio how do i fix it or which prgm do i need?

The problem is that WMPlayer dos not have the video codec for that file format. Download VLC player form FileHippo.com - Download Free Software, install it and use that for .AVI videos.
Installing will also help WMPlayer to be able to play such files.

Try it and let me know how it goes.
