I was advised by toshiba update to update the bios on my laptop running vista, once updated bios, the laptop powers up, but just get black screen, can anyone help me fix this.

Have you contacted Toshiba via the update site?

It's possible that your bios became corrupted during the update process.

Contact Toshiba regarding the update first and let me know what they said.

I'll have a look around and see if there's anyway to try the update again using a usb stick for example.
