Ok, so i had to buy a new motherboard and psu as my last motherboard burnt out which also affected the PSU. I attatched everything to the new motherboard and booted it up. I soon got the message boot disk failure when i had both of my harddrives plugged in. I then tried booting only one harddrive and it booted flawlessly. It seems that whenever i boot with both the harddrives attached it comes up with the boot disk failure message. A friend of mine said i have to arrange the jumpers on the harddrives so one is manually set to be a slave drive and one as a master but my seagate harddrive doesnt even have a jumper so im hoping there is another way to resolve this. Thanks in advance .

Your friend is right about that you can only have one master and one slave.
which one was setup as the master? Use the seagate as master and make the other primary slave.

odds are if the drive has no jumper it is trying to be the master, but if it was designed properly (seagate is a decent company) it is probably set as cable select. Which would allow you to set the other as the master.

Are the drives running on the same IDE channel? or seperate cables?

Try looking on the label on top of the drive. It should say something about a jumper for the master/slave setting. That jumper is usually found on the back of the drive, but on rare occasions it could be on the bottom of the drive, on it's little logic board. If there's no setting then the drive is probably a cable select drive.
