Default Hard disk could not load the OS


i have an extra HDD in which i installed win2003, for the first time it worked welll but later on it couldnot load the OS BIOS is detecting the hard disk but when i try to boot from hdd it simply shows blank screen and hangs what could be the problem...

There is no windows2003!

Sounds like your harddrive crashed. Just because it is recognized doesn't mean it is working properly!

You can run some tests on it with a utility like Ultimate Boot CD - Overview
Also each Mfg. usually have their own diagnostic tool available for download.
