Google updates desktop search

Google released Google Desktop 3.0 beta, with several new features and further customization of the Sidebar

New features are:
1. Lock Search - Google Desktop search can now be locked with a Windows password to prevent others from searching for files.

2. Search Across Computers - enables you to search your documents and viewed web pages across all your computers. For example, you could find files you edited on your desktop from your laptop.

3. Undock Panel - Undock a panel from the Sidebar by dragging a panel's title bar and dropping it onto the desktop and place them anywhere you want on the desktop. You can also now bring panels to the foreground or push them to the background with a single click
