gdiplus error 126
 

When I try to download programs I get "gdiplus.dll error: 126.
Also when I put a DVD in all I get is sound & no picture.
Running Win 2000 PRO service pack 4.
Have gotten Windows xp-kb 957096-x86-e nu (I think this is the
gdiplus.dll fix) but i dont know where to install it to make it work.

The update you have downloaded is for Windows XP, it WILL not work in Windows 2000 Pro sp 4.

This file you mention should be an executable. It will install it where it needs to go. If you want to read up on this more I will include the link directly to microsoft about this download.

And you also pointed out what I was going to say, it should work as your operating system is listed as one of the supported systems for this installation. The best you can do is try it and see if it works. If not then you may want to just install xp and get it over.
