hi! i heard there are free anti-virus and anti-spyware available in the net...are they effective?..which one is the best?..

I agree with Sami. Spybot is one of the best available freeware for anti-spyware and if u r willing to spend money, then AVG 7 Pro is the best, if not AVG Free(free version):)
