The clam is a good anti-virus program...lots of Non Windows companies that I do work for are using it and have been for about 2 years now...But that is it....it is Not for Windows...only Linux and Bsod operating systems! In the above statement...my comment about the use of an anti-virus program not removing the virus it finds is just plain and simple... a comment...I am more than aware of the fact that not all AV programs can remove ALL Viruses....in fact I don't believe there is any that can.... |
Lurkswithin - my comment was mostly geared toward joesue13 . Sorry if it was somewhat vague. It seemed like joesue13 was not aware of the ability to change the options of what to do with a file when it detects a threat. I assume, from all your previous posts, that you are technically proficient enough to figure out most of the issues here without my help. If it's something you already know, assume that I meant it as a general comment for the thread. Thanks for your input on the Clam engine also. I don't know anybody else that has used it. I thought I would give it a try when I saw it listed on PortableApps.com . They do good work there. So far ClamWin Portable is 1 for 1. |
