The siteadvisor extension is really useful, in particular when my mother uses the computer. Would be nice to have a block-sites capability too. |
Im using: IE View Fasterfox GMail Notifier Image Zoom Foxy Tunes Media Player Connectivity Pong Chatzilla but I have loads more I need to download....I broke my Firefox a while ago and never bothered to update it fully :( |

I seem to have a lot of extensions that I like, but here are a few ones that I probably can't live without (well kind of...): Adblock- I use it to block out all the adds that bother me! Bugmenot- Used to sign into sites that require to sign up before continuing Performancing- Used for blogging. Gmail Skins- Used to customize the Gmail interface (and you get extra features such as smileys). Minimize To tray- So that I can minimize firefox without closing it User Agent Switcher- To get access sites that require IE even though they support Firefox. Sage- I use this for all my RSS needs. And I use the hicks style (instead of using the Safari style) Chatzilla- To chat... Google Toolbar- To check page ranks and especially to check my spelling! Gmail Notifier- To know about how many new emails I have... Reveal/Showcase/Foxpose- For something like expose... Web developer- To check CSS and to see if pages have errors Image Zoom- To zoom into images Site Advisor- To keep me free of spyware, spam, viruses and phishing (or online scams) Tab mix plus- To help me manage my tabs. And finally I like my Firefox search plug in that I created (which is sort of like an extension) to search SysChat and a few search plug ins to search other sites and a few Greasemonkey scripts. |
Well i have pretty much all those listed, but as to not repeat here's a couple i really like to add: answers - gives definitions of words with alt+click all in one sidebar - a quick sidbar view for downloads, dialog menus, etc download status bar - put all your downloads in a nice status bar inside FF No Script - prevents any and all scripts from running (can be disabled on a page by page basis) this extension notifies you if a scritpt wants to run |
I loved reading this thread because there were a few extensions I hadn't heard about until now. I'm definitely downloading minimize to try, both at home and at work! My favorites are pretty much already listed, except a couple. I'll be redundant and list 'em again, though. ;) NoScript - one of the best darn extensions around. AdBlock Plus - better than regular ol' adblock, in my opinion. Colourful Tabs - just to add color to the many, many tabs I always have open. GMail Manager - can't live without this one! StumbleUpon - assuming y'all know what StumbleUpon is, this is just a fun one to have! IE View Lite - used only when I'm forced to examine a page in IE. |
