Gigabyte is a realiable mobo, as is asus, my only beef with gigabyte was on most of their boards about a year or 2 ago they were leaving the SATA connections off. They were available, but you had to solder them yourself... if you've ever seen me solder you'll know why i have a problem with this, lol. Even with this flaw they are still the best company i've ever dealt with.
My friend is running a similar system with the new AMD asus board (which he had to buy after a surge destroyed his gigabyte) and his computer is running atleast as good as it was before. When i look to upgrade again both of these companies will be definate contenders.

I wonder why Jetway is not here.
Im currently using Jetway as my motherboard.
I have to decide between Asus and Jetway before, when im buying my PC.
I think it was last year.

I've never heard of Jetway. Is it some sort of local brand or something like that?

Can't say that I have heard of Jetway either, but there are so many MB brands out there these days.

ASUS over Abit for me, have some old ASUS boards which have been running for many years with no problems, while 2 ABit boards have failed.

Gigabyte might be decent too, just don't have a lot of experience with it.

Friend installed Abit motherboard for me and told me they are good.
How does one judge one motherboard from another.
What makes a really good motherboard?

I am partial to ABit, but have had a lot of good luck with Asus in the past as well.

I would probably look at ABit first for my next motherboard purchase.
