Dual booting...installing XP on a Vista computer...HELP!!!

I have made my partition for XP and attempted to boot to my CD, but it will not recognize the new partition. I tried slipstreaming, but that didn't work. Please help!!!!

Normally when this happens you have a RAID or SATA system and you must incorporate the drivers in the slipstreaming disc so that the partition or drive can be recognised by the installation program.
