Dual boot Vista and XP Problem Hello, I bought a pc wich had already installed Vista on it and I don't have a Vista dvd. I have made a recovery DVD. Now I installed XP on it and the pc boots only XP I like to make a choice between Vista and XP. I read the explanation on the side, but because I don't hav a Vista DVD i don't know how to deal with it. Is there somebody who can help me out? Thanks. Sjookske |
If you formatted (erased) the drive and installed XP, you'll need to get a Vista DVD, partition your hard drive (If you don't have a socond drive) then install the two OS's, one on each partition. Vista is aware and can install as dual boot. You can get a Vista DVD here for $7 https://na.windowsanytimeupgradestor.../Purchase.aspx |
dual boot Thank you for your answer, but I don't understand all of it. I already made 2 partitions, one with vista and the other with XP. But whenn I boot my pc I always get XP and have no possibility to chance to Vista. |
You can try EasyBCD, bootloader modification tool for Windows http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 alt link PC World - PC World Downloads - EasyBCD |
