Do you leave your pc on or turn it off each day?

I know many people who leave their PCs running ALL the time. I'm on an antiquated system that needs to have its rest at night, so I let her sleep a little.

What about everyone else?

Maybe the admins will put a pollin for you. I, myself, never shut my computer off.

My pc's are on standby mode. But after reading this article I am seriously reconsidering it.

That's a good point, Sami. I think I leave mine on from habit. Back when I first got a computer it took over five minutes to boot up. I supposed it's not necessary anymore. Is there any benefit to turning it off occaasionaly?

I leave my comp on most of the time, because i am always doing something on it, or downloading some software or something like that.

my comp runs pretty much 24/7 i only restarted once in the last month or so, because i was installing Vista, lol. I like the sound while i'm sleeping, it isn't that loud, just a constant hum.

Thanks to the mod that added the poll.

That is very interesting about standby. My computer is so old, it does some funky things when trying to get it out of standby, so I just opt to leave it running or shut it down altogether.
