deleting large numbers of files Hi, I have on my personal PC a large number of audio files that an uninstall program failed to remove. These files are taking up valuable space and I need to delete them. However, because of the large number(over 1000) I find the task to burdensom trying to delete them by hand using IZArc. Is there an easier way to accomplish this. I would appreciate any help at all. Thank you very much. Jojo. |
You can select all files by holding Ctrl+A key and press DEL key to delete all files. If you want to bypass the Recycle bin when you are deleting files press and hold down the SHIFT key while you press the DEL key Or You can right click on the folder where all these files are located and delete the folder itself. |
deleting large quantities of records in a file But I don't want to delete all the files in the file, just 1000 of them. It's a large file, over 2 gigs. Can you help me? I tried using the delete command in the command prompt mode. But that did'nt work at all. I did'nt get any response from windows OS positive or negative. Which was of no help. |
