It should not matter, the converter should take care of any over voltage issues, and your laptop has an internal power supply to run it, it simply uses the power to recharge itself when plugged in. The output of a standard laptop or desktop inside is different than the power supplied to it. It's a little complicated, but it's the amps that matter most, and voltage can be changed to almost any amperage (within limitations of physics) I don't wish to teach an electricity physics course with this message so just trust me
