can't boot from hard drive
 

I have a system consisting of
chaintech 9cjs motherboard
1GB memory
2 sata 250 GB hard drives
Plextor Px712-A cd/dvd burner
Adaptec SCSI 39160 card
Nvidia GEforce FX5200 video card from Chaintech
Travan TR$ SCSI tape drive.
Windows XP home edition

The system will not boot from the hard drive. If i put a bootable CD (either windows XP or OS/2) the system willl allow me to either boot from the CD or from the hard drive. Without a bootable CD in the Plextor, the system just sits there. I can also boot from a bootable floppy disk. Is there any way to fix this problem?

check your pins on the drive such that they are set to master. (left most set)

Please see your Bios (Press Del or ??? depend on your computer)
