can't boot from hard drive I have a system consisting of chaintech 9cjs motherboard 1GB memory 2 sata 250 GB hard drives Plextor Px712-A cd/dvd burner Adaptec SCSI 39160 card Nvidia GEforce FX5200 video card from Chaintech Travan TR$ SCSI tape drive. Windows XP home edition The system will not boot from the hard drive. If i put a bootable CD (either windows XP or OS/2) the system willl allow me to either boot from the CD or from the hard drive. Without a bootable CD in the Plextor, the system just sits there. I can also boot from a bootable floppy disk. Is there any way to fix this problem? |
check your pins on the drive such that they are set to master. (left most set) |
