What are other specs of that PC? like RAM, HD space etc..

Windows XP can be installed on low system requirements

Minimum requirements are:
233 MHz CPU
128 MB of RAM
1.5 GB of available hard disk space *
Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
CD-ROM or DVD drive

You can find out more details here

In my opinion, i say it is possible. When u buy the XP CD, on it u will see the system requirements for which u should check and see, if all of it matches ur specs.

It is most likely possible, As Sami listed, anything above those marks will run XP just fine, i have run XP on a P# 500MHz and it runs without a hitch
If the drive is small you may wish to uninstall some of the optional accesories afterwards.

XP has a floppy installation (6 floppies are required) you can read on it on the Microsoft Website

Still I wouldn't advice to run XP on that computer, since it will probably run too slow. Either stay with 98 or upgrade your computer.

XP could run ok on such a system, but you would have to do without some of the added features of XP. It can be optimized to save processor power and memory, with a couple clicks.
right-click my computer, properties select, advanced, click settings under performance, in the new dialog, choose "Adjust for best Performance"
It removes things like the left pane preview, and search animations.
