Can any1 help me with laptop "fn" buttons every laptop has "fn" button (function) like shift makes leters capital the fn button allows to make various functions like adjust brightness or volume.. now ive reinstalled windows and the fn button dont work tryed some soft, but nothing worked.. :help: :help: :help:  |
the function (fn) key will work in windows by default. I assume you installed XP? Home or Pro? |
XP Pro... |
Check your keyboard configuration in Control Panel for a start and make sure that the device is seen as working correctly. On occasions, some older keyboards required additional software to enable hotkeys and so forth, though this trend was pretty much stopped when they were made a default feature in Windows. Did you have any additional software on your laptop that related to the keyboard or trackpad? I wouldn't have thought it likely, but it's worth looking into. |
I hawe the Clevo driver cd, butt it doesint work :( |
Have you tried their website for drivers? Clevo |
Yes i hawe, (but thedrivers werent updated, they wore the same as i got) |
it is not a driver issue then. The drivers would work even if they aren't updated, they just aren't the newest, but that doesn't take away their functionality. What OS was on your system before you installed this time? |
firs was xp when everything was grat, then vista, and now xp |
the temporary installation of vista would not cause this, but there must be some setting that is just not set right or reading that the fn key is there. I will look into it a little further, and let you know if i find anything. |
