ok, but i need to ask, can i thave any interferience that i installed windows with usb keyboard??? |
if the other keyboard is the default then yes. There are no fn keys on that keyboard so their useablity would not have been installed/understood. It should be possible to have the functionality though, as you will not always be using the other keyboard i assume. |
Did you tried with less programs running at the same time ? Cause you got like 15 programs in the tray bar,try to unload some and trie agin with the fn button or start your computer in safe mod and trie the fn button, if it's works you just have to change your computer startup settings to use it on Windows normal (sry 4 my english:sbiggrin: ) |
but i cant unload programs in the system tray, because i hawe Kaspersky internet security uber icon kpt touchpad cfosspeed hideIpplatinum intellproset wireleess, emule, ApexDc++,Ati volume, and LAC which are not unloadable,(exept for emule and apexdc++9 but still   |
the number of applications shouldn't affect it, but it would affect overall performance... i would never have that many myself, and ctrl+alt+del does wonders for removing applications which cannot be "unloaded", also using msconfig to stop them from coming back |
Did you installed Windows that came with your manufacturer . |
Yes it could be related to the fact that you installed windows with a USB Keyboard , if you think it is . Try accessing the Device Manager via My Computer and updating it .. |
1,no i dont hawe a win cd that came with cpu, because it is now unreadable 2the manufacturer driver disc has drivers, but they dont help 3 i will reinstall windows xp soon, because my computer is somehaw slow and turns on in like 5 minutes :) |
Apologies This response is more for "others" who are just learning how to use their laptop. Therefore, my apologies for stating the obvious, but I have slapped myself in the forehead many times... Usually the "fn" key must be held down in conjunction with another function key...as if the "fn" key unlocks the other, or redirects the impulse... Also, re: your unreadable CD... 1. sometimes a CD is unreadable upon install, but not unreadable as far as just copying it to your hard drive and then installing from there...don't know why this happens sometimes 2. sometimes a CD can be copied over to your hard drive, and then a net search can replace specific "lost" files to replace them in your hard drive copy... or someone can send you the specific files for replacement of rewriting back onto your CD. NB: you are going ot have to have a running written copy of the bad files on paper so that you will know what to search for. 3. try "BadCopy Pro" or another equally as good, CD restorer. 4. once you have a "good" copy, burn another replacement for the original, or see if you can just burn the offending files specifically back onto the original disk...the process will usually ask you if you want to overwrite the file. Since the disk is dead to you otherwise, nothing ventured, nothing gained...but don't dump the disk until your have salvaged all you can from it. |
