Default Blue Screen of Death (Bsod)

my laptop gives a restart screen after a quick flash of the XP system screen
when i restart i get the blue screen of death with the message
stop: 0x000000024 (0x001902F8,0xF7C6E6FC, 0xF7755411
ntfs.sys address F7755411 base at F76E7000
i have tried to boot from the startup disk but just end up back at the BDOD
i have tried a registry repair disk and it says UMBs unavailable
i can't get past this screen to try anything else, how can i fix this?

The error is a software error in the NT File System which is the format that you have installed on your computer. The repair is to boot to the CD installation disc or a copy of the boot discd (K)s and open the repair console to repair the file system....since you are unable to boot to the repair console then your only option is to reformat and reinstall....I hope that you have your system backed up!

You should be able to access the restore program during the P.O.S.T. look for the repair option.

In some laptops...boot and toggle the F10 or F11 or F12 key. You could go online to the manufacturers website and download the manual to your computer and read it as it will tell you have to do it!
