Avi file writing method

Hello Sir

Can you any one please tell me how to write video formats to play in a DVD player. Especially, .avi, .mpeg, .dat, .vob. atleast 2 movies i need to write in one dvd disc.

please tell me the writing software. I don't know how to write movies in DVD Disc [.avi] formats. Can i write 2 or more movies in a DVD. Please explain.
