have been hearing a lot about skype nowdays. guess will have to try it atleast once. heard that google has taken over skype. is it true?

That is hear say, Google hasn't reported anything regarding that issue. I think eBay is enjoying it.

I and some friends of mine have been skype users for a long time (a few years any way LOL)

It is the best chat/talk and video program that I have seen for free use. It has become very popular recently and as such I don't stay online as everyone in the world will try to skype you.

Hide yourself from the rifraff and just use it among your friens and it is a great thing!

Skype has been updated today to version 3.6.0.248. They fixed a big security hole in it...
