trouble Another BSOD problem

This is Trish again - same machine that y'all helped so much with last week - and now another problem.
As part of my weekly routine, I was trying to do "Disc Cleanup" on my drives ( I have two hard drives) - but it would not work, It got stuck in the 'clean-up' phase at 1%, and after about an hour, I just cancelled out of it.
I then tried the "defrag" option under "Tools" - which I normally do and then schedule a 'check-disk'. Usually the defrag tool says I don't need to defrag the drive, but this time it said I did, so I started it. It got to 55% and then came the BSOD.
Here is the error messages I got:
STOP:
0x000000D1 parentheses 0x00000034m 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF74C6A18 end parentheses
After this was:
IdeChnDR.sys - Address F74C6A18 base at F74C2000, Datestamp 3cb4d2c0

I had to just shut the machine down and restart it - and it did come back up normally. Can anyone help me out with what this means? And what do I do now?

Thank you so much for any help you can give - I really appreciate it!

Trish

Computer Error Intel Driver

Hello again, it's got something to do with an intel driver again!

Go to this link :Download Search Results

You need to update your intel application accelerator. There should be some instructions on its' use.
However, if you need any help with it then get back to us.

Regards

Martin

Default About to try it...

Thanks so much, Martin - it was nice of you to provide the link
to the download.
I've read the instructions, and am about to install it....
Here's hoping it fixes things.

I'll be back to let you know

Thanks!
Trish

Thumbs up So far....so good!

Well, I went and downloaded the file - it installed itself as advertised,
and I had the directions to go and check to make sure it was there -
and it is.

This should clear up my problems with the disc cleanup and defrag? Or not.....
just the BSOD problem that came out of it?

I will try again to do both those things - but have to finish up my workday before
I risk it.

Thank you again for your help! Looking forward to your thoughts on whether I'm out of the woods yet or not.....with this machine....

Trish

Computer Error Intel Application Accelerator

Hello, I'm hoping that all the problems are related to the same driver.

If you're still unable to to defrag or run a disk check, get back to me and I'll have another look.

Regards

Martin
