Is this video card decent

I am in the process of building my first computer, and have limited knowledge about video cards. I want something that will play most current games. I pruchased a diamond viper raedon ATI GDDRII 512mb, pci express 16X, model X1650 video card for 55 dollars with a 20 dollar rebate, thanks
