Got it...

I dug out my old copy of PartitonMagic8 and got what I wanted. I had just been experimenting with the Windows mechanics and found them not to work in my situation...and wondered why...

As to the existing partion...does Wondows, upon install, not partition the entire hard drive and then chose a spot near the start of it to install Windows? So, you are dealing with a partioned HD from the start...unless you chose a specific size at the install for the main partition...and leave the rest unpartitioned. But, then what do you do with the "rest" and how does one utilize it when needed? Is that where the Windows Partitioner come into play, and only then?
