Usb

I had this USB OF 512mb. All of a sudden when I view and format the usb it only gives the maximum capacity of 2mb. I had reformat this usb but it still indicates that it had all free space with still only 2mb of maximum capacity. Even I scanned with antivirus, but still no change.
Please need help ASAP
