4gb RAM of 2gb each, on my desktop does not show up to 4gb.

After building my desktop Pc, i noticed that the 4gb RAM (ie 2gb each) which I installed did not read up to 4gb. Not even 3.97gb. It just shows about 3320 mb. Is anything wrong? What is wrong or why is it that way? Thanks

32 bit operating systems cannot deal with 4 gigs of ram....your mobo may be able to handle it but not with a 32 bit operating system...it can handle about 3 + or about what you have listed.

Don't worry about it...it is not hurting anything.
