Have you tried what microsoft has mentioned in this KB article... if not its well worth a try. Hopefully it can solve the problem for you. Also take a look at this page, which has some links to downloads that can help you out.

Oh yeah and make sure that the CD does not have any scratches, sometimes scratches can be the cause for all these problems.
