Default My CD/DVD Drive doesn't show in my computer window

Please guys I just discovered all of a sudden that my CD/DVD ROM Drives No longer appears on my computer ''window'' the computer is HP Pavilion.. Please what do I do to correct this issue. Even when I insert a disc, it doesn't still show. Please I need serious help. Thanks a lot in anticipation..
