DVD-ROM broken in laptop The DVD-ROM laptop in my laptop is broken. As it is so old (10 years), there is no BIOS option to either boot from a USB drive, only by floppy disk USB or a PC Card HDD.
I have an external DVD drive. Is it possible to connect it to the socket inside the existing DVD-ROM drive (ie. the empty space once the DVD-ROM is taken out) or is there a better way of doing this.
Am trying to avoid the floppy disk route...
