nice, i have been properly introduced to !BIOS, lol not by choice, but it saved me some trouble. My new mobo has dual bios so in the case of a mishap i can 'flash' from one to the other and restore defaults.
and odds are on an HP laptop, the internal battery is located directly under the keyboard, which is not removable on all models, so i don't suggest trying
