Vista Home Basic with Dial Up

connection lost its sound.
Even DVD players play no sound.

Dominic of SysChat kindly guided

me to go to Acer site and

download the relevent sound

card.
Installed it and got confirmation

''the product / program is

ready for use''.
On closing that window, found another notification was seen lurking behind it.
That notification read:
''Windows Driver Foundation ---
User Mode Driver Framework Host Process stopped working and was closed''.

Please tell me how to get online help from Microsoft as my OS is genuine that came with the laptop computer.
