Well apparently it is possible My friend just got a letter about 3 weeks ago saying that he needs to pay for the modem rentals, if he doesn't want to buy the modem for $100 (I'm not sure what kind of modem it is... cable may be) and along with that the price is going to increase about $5 Canadian. However, many people don't like that ISP (because they even block bit-torrent and increase price and so on) so a lot are switching to the competitors. Oh well, this might be a first, and I hope it's a last as well!
