Default help to sign in Messenger Live

Hi.
I need help to sign in to messenger live. The window comes up but it wont let me sign in. I dont have a firewall installed. I am using Windows XP. I recently crashed and installed a new hard drive. Before the crash everything was fine. All other programs working.
