Which is the best..? Node32 is the best.. but it's not cheap...
I'm running the free BitDefender AVS, and the free Sunbelt FW, through a hard-wired router... It keeps the floater hackers out, but it isn't solid for surfing super-bad web-sites... I just don't use the PC to surf anymore... I use the old iMac for opening all suspect emails, and for surfing dangerous places...
When I can afford it, I'm considering buying the full versions of BitDefender and Sunbelt... Maybe Node32..? not sure yet...
Sunbelt has a nice feature with which you can totally block IE and other things from the Net, on a new OS install...
The free BitDefender doesn't seem to catch bugs entering... It's basically just a scanner/cleaner...
Bottom line is.. You are your best security...
If you want to be up on all the new stuff that interests you, then run "google alerts" for everything you like... Remember to place quotes around every multi-word alert... Google alerts is the safest way to surf the Internet war zone...
