Is this the System Restore process built into the windows system?

Sometimes the system Restore program fails to work because it has been reset by specific software installations and or malware/spyware/virus infiltrations. You may only use this with a date set on the calendar within the program....which is usually a darker outline of the calendar date (bold outline)...if there is no bold date in the calendar then you cannot restore.

Some clean-up utillities will also reset this as well as by removing the stored data to make addirional room on a harddrive.

Why were you trying to do a system restore?
