I have a Dell laptop that is running VISTA.
According to the defrag window I've got around 80% free space and yet this thing is sooooo slow I could break it over my knee!
I've run disk cleanup, gotten rid of files I don't need, run Registry Mechanic, and defragged and it still is maddeningly slow. When I try to start any program, I double-click and it just sits there for almost 20 seconds ( I know, 20 seconds? Big deal, but my pc moves as soon as I double click and it's older and has way less memory and open space than this laptop), before the cursor starts spinning and then it spins forever before finally opening the program.
I've got it set-up as wireless and it's connected via a Netgear wireless router.
What can I do to speed this thing up?
Thanks for help with this and all your help in the past.
