To start with run Windows Disk Clean Up from My Computer:
Right mouse click on your C: drive icon / select
Disk Cleanup after it has run it will give you a list of stuff that can be safely removed. Put a tick in each box and click ok.
After you have done that go back and click on the
More Options tab and click on
System Restore points.
You should find that this has freed up disk space...
